Welcome to the Broken Sound Podcast!  It's bit of a chance for us to doth our caps to the artists and labels who've been keeping our ears happy.  Every so often we'll be playing out our favourite tracks, and inviting our favourite artists to perform exclusive live sets from our living room...

This month, Rozi Plain and Rachael Dadd join us to perform two stunning live sets, playing tracks from their latest albums and some completely new material.

Rozi Plain's debut album, 'Inside Over Here' was released in Autumn 2008 by the fantastic Fence Records (run by King Creosote and The Pictish Trail).  It's a gorgeous collection of honest wide-eyed wonderment and discovery, genuinely something unique which to listen to, feels like it's being performed inside your home.  Recorded in small household rooms by Gordon Anderson (The Lone Pigeon, and frontman of The Aliens), Kenny Anderson (King Creosote), Rozi herself and friends and family, the whole affair feels like something very personal and really is essential listening. Rozi joins us live, to play 2 previously unreleased tracks - Eating At Your House & You Can See My Boat and, from her new album, the fantastic Stolen Shark.

Rachael Dadd has recently returned home from Japan having spent the last year promoting her spell-binding 3rd album 'After The Ant Fight' (released overseas by Angels Egg), and we're certainly glad to have her back on our shores.  Her most recent offering is a truly breathtaking set of folk-inspired tales and is set to be released in the UK very soon.  Rachael's music is masterfully reflective and sees her flutter from banjo to piano, guitar, clarinet and harmonium, whilst her lyrics paint a picture of a girl who possesses a unique take on life's experiences.  For our very first podcast, Rachael plays Following The Geese, Table, and Until We Fall Apart (all from her new album) and a brand new track - Journeys.
