Saturday night sees Rachael joined by another amazing lineup- This Is The Kit, Rozi Plain, and Ichi at Cafe Oto. It was recorded during her recent travels in Japan, and sees Rachael turn her hands to clarinet, piano, ukulele, banjo, thumb piano, organ, guitar, and percussion. All profits are to be split equally between the Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal, and Nomadamura (an island community who are offering shelter and food for many families affected by the Tsunami). 9th April 2011 Tristram are playing at eARmusic's Sunday Social at The Old Queens Head tomorrow. The first - Weird Folk is at 65 Handbury St (E1). Her 2nd, Drawing-trick-blink, opens tonight at 92 Peckham Road (SE15) with live music soundtracking her awesome animations. Amongst others, Betsy has been responsible for this video for Rachael Dadd's Table, and this for The Mariner's Children. Also playing are the immeasurable talents of The Mariner's Children and This Is The Kit. At Standon Calling, Tristram plays at 12 midday on Saturday. 15th July 2010 We're extemely excited to announce Rachael Dadd's next EP 'Elephee' which will be released on September 13th. Elephee is a 5 song collection of stripped down home recordings, Rachael at her most intimate. In contrast to her gorgeous piano based mini-album Moth In The Motor, her new EP is played entirely on classical guitar and banjo. It will be released on hand-numbered limited edition CD, with every cover hand printed using linocuts designed & etched by Rachael. Of course, it'll also be available digitally. The whole afternoon will be completely unplugged, it's going to be a very special one. 10th July 2010 Forest Fire are coming back to the UK (and Europe)!!! Our favourite Brooklyn 4-piece have just announced their European tour, kicking off at Paradiso in Amsterdam on August 30th. Rachael Dadd is getting ready to tour Europe with The Hand and Ichi, including some UK shows with the perpetually brilliant Alessi's Ark. 20th April 2010 Festivals update! Rachael Dadd will be playing at Glastonbury this year, as well as End Of The Road and South Street Arts Festival. Peggy Sue are confirmed to play at The Great Escape, Wood Festival, Dot To Dot, and Summer Sundae. Panama Kings will be at Junk Yard Festival, Take It To The Bridge, Rising Stars, and Indiependance. Also at this year's brilliant End Of The Road, are the mighty Forest Fire! Hurrah! We'll be celebrating the opening there on the evening of Thursday 18th with incidental music from a very special lineup of Rachael Dadd, Tristram, The Mariner's Children (solo), and Jo Burke. Both the exhibition and opening event are free! Grab a ticket here! 15th February 2010 Rachael Dadd's new mini album Moth In The Motor, a collection of piano-based home and studio recordings is released today on 10" vinyl and digital! The limited edition (300 pressings) 10" vinyl comes in a hand-painted sleeve using a variety of linocuts created by Rachael herself. Every single sleeve will be different. The vinyl labels have also been hand painted, and every pressing is hand numbered. Even the sleeve material is handmade. Every pressing includes a free digital version of the album, a bonus track, and a gorgeous hand painted animation.
